RESPECT - The Aretha Franklin Tribute Show presents the most important stages of her career and provides a representative cross-section of her musical work in a highly entertaining show, which combines biographical accuracy with musical quality.
A ten-piece band (drums, percussions, bass, guitar, keyboard, Hammond organ, trumpet, tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, baritone saxophone) plus three backing vocals and five lead vocals guarantee the authentic sound of the time.
The lead vocalists, Darnita Rogers, Noreda Graves, Donniele Graves, April ‘Journi’ Cook and Menoosha Susungi interpret not only the biggest hits of the international charts like I Never Loved A Man, Respect, Chain Of Fools, Natural Woman, Think, I Say A Little Prayer, Don’t Play That Song, Spanish Harlem, Rock Steady, Until You Come Back To Me, Angel and Ain’t No Way in perfect tribute style, magically enhanced by their own expressiveness and performance power. They also present some lesser known soul gems alongside Aretha’s hit duets with other top stars, such as I Know You Were Waiting (with George Michael), Sisters Are Doin’ It For Themselves (with The Eurythmics) plus some of her many cover versions of well-known hits like Bridge Over Troubled Water.
